Volume 2: 2005, pp. 107-120; ABSTRACT
This paper reports on an International Field Experience Project – the International Business Plan (IBP)/MBA Student Team Project. First, a model for effective managerial performance in the global economy is proposed as a rationale for the design and management of the project. Second, the step-by-step approach to the development of an International Business Plan for a corporate client – Etak (then part of Sony) – by a team of MBA students is described. Third, the benefits of this experiential learning project for each party are outlined. The conclusions highlight the success factors.
