Given the new era of globalization, an internationalized business curriculum that values cross-cultural learning experiences is becoming a must for business colleges to offer their students. Around the globe, for-credit business study abroad programs are quickly becoming a popular addition to business school curricula. Although a demand for international study abroad programs is notable, the goal of offering students a meaningful and academically sound study abroad opportunity is met with challenges. The case of a multi-country for-credit business study abroad initiative implemented at a mid-sized Midwestern university in the U.S. is described in this article, along with an elaboration of tactical recommendations for implementing future international business study abroad programs.
